Can you give me a home?!

I've posted about this little guy before, long when he first made his way into our yard. Now, after a couple months of loving on him, and taking care of him, we have had to make the hard decision of finding him a new home. Unfortunately our little home is just not big enough for 3 dogs and a cat! He really is a great little guy. We've come to the conclusion that he is probably a rat terrier/bisenji mix and is probably about a year old. He comes when you call him, and knows how to sit and shake. He still likes to play like a puppy, and loves to give kisses and cuddle. Please let me know if you think he would fit into your happy little home!

I am so sleepy this morning...thankfully it is almost the weekend. I have lots of projects to finish, and the weather looks to be just about perfect (high 70s and sunny!!). My first venture will be to re-finish this lovely metal rocker...

My parents have had this gem sitting on their back porch, just waiting for someone to give it new life. I'm so excited to get the piece looking like brand new! Let's see...what else is on the schedule for this weekend...I hope (fingers crossed) that I'll finally finish the hemp lamp shade I started forever ago, and then I've got a modge podge art project, and table cloth to finish. It's a lot, but I can do it :)
What's going on in your world?

I want to open up one of these...

By now I'm sure you've noticed that Design*Sponge is one of my favorite blog reads. Today they posted the most amazing cafe EVER (at least to me it is). Moomah is a creative arts cafe located in Tribeca Manhattan! At this very moment (and only ever this moment) I wish we lived in Manhattan so I could visit this crafty, quaint coffee house every day!

I cannot handle how amazing this place is! It's comfy, cozy, and they have all things crafty. This is my absolute dream...to open up a little coffee shop like this one. I love it! Their description on their website says it all...

Yes friends...this is my new long term goal. Whose with me!
Hope you're having a beautiful day!

I'd like to introduce you to...

...my newest little friend, Elijah

I love all of the little details involved in this little guy, from his cute curled trunk, to his chunky arms and legs. I adore him. Miss Ysolda Teague created the pattern for this little guy as well as the pattern for the bunnies. I've made a few adjustments of my own (the pattern work in the body), but her patterns are pretty easy to follow, and she offers free email support if you get stuck. If you knit at all, you MUST check out the patterns in her shop...they're just delightful! I hope to start selling these little creations in my own shop soon, but first I need to get all of the nieces and nephews covered :)

man...I love these kiddos!

Well, it's almost the weekend folks! I'm hoping to get a couple projects finished, and to relax as much as possible! What are you up to this weekend?

Whatever it is that you find yourself doing...enjoy!

inspiration...

Do you ever get the urge to stop whatever it is that you're doing and go make something? I cannot help but be inspired by Anna Maria Horner's fabric collections. Her style is just my cup of tea. If you don't know who she is, or haven't seen her amazing work, check out her blog and her website, she is a true crafting queen!

Along the lines of inspiration, I've lately wanted to dive back into knitting and make myself another sweater. My first attempt at sweater crafting turned out ok...

{please pardon the awkward smile on my face...this is the best picture i have...ha}

...but I'd really like to make a more every-day type cardigan that I could wear when it gets just a tad chilly. Lovely Laura from *ellatrain knits* posted a pretty little cardigan she finished a couple months ago...

How cute is that cardigan? and how amazing of a knitter is Laura?! I absolutely love it! She inspires me to be a more dedicated knitter :)

Oh yea...one more tid bit for ya. I saw this before and after from Brooke of playing grown up on Design*Sponge today...

...and am in love with this amazing crafty idea for a headboard. I've been looking for great headboard ideas everywhere. This is perfect for our bedroom...now all I need is to find an amazing screen like this!

I hope you've been somewhat inspired to do your own crafting and creating. Have a great Thursday. We're almost to the weekend, Hooray!

sneak peak...

With the long drive to and from Buffalo, I was afforded the opportunity to FINALLY work on the elephant stuffed animal I mentioned awhile ago. I am so close to finishing...I can't wait to show ya'll!

I hope to have it completed within the next day or two...so stay tuned!
