I cannot tell you how long I've been waiting to share this news with all of you!! We are about 11 1/2 weeks along due March 13th, and are excited beyond belief. We had our first appointment with our lovely midwife Mavis this morning. We were hoping to get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, but unfortunately she couldn't find it, so she sent us off to get an ultrasound to put our minds at rest. Anxiety kicked in a bit for me as we drove 5 min to the location where we would be getting our ultrasound. But let me tell you, the anxiety was worth it to get a chance to see the first few shots of our new little one!!! It was so reassuring and sweet to hear Mavis, and the ultrasound technician call it our baby! Not an "it" or "thing"...it's a baby!!! A baby that has arms and legs, and ears and a nose. This baby moves like crazy (even though I feel nothing), and it's heart beats just like mine (but a little faster...ha). This little bean baby is only 5cm long, but there is no denying that it is a human life. What a true blessing and miracle from our Creator!

YAY! It's finally out... phewww... me and Katie Davies can finally stop holding in this secret. I thought it might kill me. So excited!!!!
so what if i teared up a little reading this on a planning break at school... so fun! and so tiny! love love.
