One down...a bunch more to go

So, I believe I had posted earlier about the bunnies and elephants that I'm making for my darling nieces and nephews for their birthday's this year. I've finished the first for my niece Lilly, who just turned 3...


Isn't she the sweetest? I love her little crooked smile. Haha. So here's the little one (lets call her Coral) that I'm sending to miss lilly.

I can't wait for Lilly to open up her little care package with Coral inside. I only wish I could be there to see her face.

On another note...we're still trying to find Utah's owner (is it bad that we've given him a name? ha).


Can you really say no to such a sweet face?! Anyways, he needs a loving home...could you be his new mom/dad?!

One more thing...we're having a BBQ tomorrow! Come on over if you can!

Yay for summertime!

This sweet little guy found his way into our yard in East Nashville on Sunday afternoon (May 24). He is such a sweetie, and I'm sure he belongs to someone. He looks to be about 20-30 pounds, and from what we've experienced is potty trained, and knows a few commands (like "sit" and "come").


If you recognize him, or no of anyone missing their little guy, please hit me up! I'd love to get him back to his mom and/or dad. We're taking care of him for now, but if we don't find his owners soon, we'll have to either take him to the humane society, or find him a good loving home...so if you're looking for a new friend (I promise he is the sweetest little boy), let me know that as well and I'll keep you updated.

gardening

...I'm so in love with it right now. I just bought a very beautiful Dahlia plant earlier this week and just the sight of it makes me so happy. I cannot wait to have our vegetable and flower gardens! I don't think we have enough time to really make it happen this year, but hopefully by next spring our yard will be filled with yummy veggies and exquisite flowers. Until then...these are my little pieces of gardening happines!



Today is going to be a beautiful day...do your best to take it in!

baseball, hot dogs, and friends...

Last night was my very first Nashville Sounds experience. We couldn't have picked a more perfect day for the game. We had the good fortune of amazing weather, and the game ended with a slide into home, crowning The Sounds as the winner!




My conclusion on the subject of baseball is that it can be very entertaining especially when accompanied by your favorite man (Russell), some great friends, and good ole ball park hot dogs.

lovely lunch...

What an absolute glorious day we're having here in music city usa! As I do most sunny days I travelled up to panera on foot to get a smidge of exercise, and bask in the beautiful sun. During my lunch-break travels I came across some interesting and lovely thistles that prompted me to snap a few shots of them, along with a few other items. I by no means am a photographer, but I'm making it my goal to start documenting with photos from here on out...so here goes...If you haven't made it outdoors yet, please do..you'll be so thankful that you did!

I was just about to say how happy I was for the sunny day...and of course it starts to pour! haha. I'm truly hoping this weekend will be the last of the rainy weekends...girlfriend needs a tan! Anyone wanna go to Hawaii?! ha.

I'm feeling the urge to be crafty this weekend. I've got several projects on my to-do list, one of which is finishing the lamp shade project i found at Craftynest

pets + polaroids

We absolutely love our pets! If you have pets, then you know what a joy it is to come home to wagging tails and kisses. I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to ours...

Jake is the oldest. He is our loveable 5 lb chihuahua (and he really is the best chihuahua you'll ever meet!)

Bodhi Sapha is next. He got is name from the movie "Point Break"...haha, and he is our enthusiastic, warmhearted Boxer

And the newest edition to our crew, Marley, is our sweet and sassy Calico kitty cat. I like to call her ki ki meow.

I know I'm biased, but I really do not think you could find a more perfect trio. I truly could not imagine not having these little dears. They make our lives just a little sweeter ever day.

Side note on the polaroids. There is this amazingly awesome application called poladroid that turns your every day digital picture into polaroids. I'm in love with it, and you should check it out!

What a wonderful weekend...

Despite our bbq getting rained out on Saturday, it was an absolutely lovely weekend. We FINALLY cleaned out our storage shed, and both the hubs and I cleaned out our closets!

I started working on Birthday gifts for the nieces and nephews...

This is my second stab at these adorable bunnies that the lovely Ysolda Teague created. I made a few adjustments to her original pattern, to create a bunny for sweet Liberty

Hopefully these new little ones will turn out just as sweet!

I am more in love with our little bungalow every day. It's the perfect setting for our little story. This weekend was a great reminder of how blessed we are. We have a home we adore, great friends to share it with, and lots of love to fill it with.
